Seniors go to Sovereign hill

At 7:30 am the seniors of St. Luke’s got on a bus to go to Sovereign hill.

It took us more than an hour to get there but there was a lot of interesting stuff to do on the bus.

When we got there, we went to the red hill mine to see the Welcome Nugget, the second biggest nugget in the world.

After the mine tour, we went to the shops to buy some stuff.

Most people went to the lollie shop first but I went to look at the other shops.

After the shops, we went to the education center to learn some stuff about the Eureka stockade and how the miners fort together to claim there rights.

Then it was time for lunch, after lunch we went to the gold smelting, there we saw a man teaching us how to make gold bars.

Unfortunately, there were no free samples 🙁

Then, IT WAS TIME TO GO PANNING FOR GOLD!

I didn’t find any gold but it was still fun.

After that, we went on the bus back to school.

It was an AMAZING day and one of the best excursions I have ever been on.
